Frequently asked questions
How do I book a session?
Open Discover, pick a coach whose language and rank fit your goal, then choose an available slot on their profile. The price is shown before you confirm. Payment runs through our checkout; once it clears, you'll see the session under Bookings with a join link.
How does pricing work?
Session price is set by the coach's rank tier, whether they're a native speaker of the language, and a current quarterly coefficient for that language. The full breakdown is shown on every coach profile and booking screen before you pay. Prices are listed in Dardsh Coins (DC); 100 DC = 1 USD-equivalent.
What payment methods can I use?
Online card payments and wallet top-ups through our regional payment partner (currently Fawaterak for MENA). Once you have DC in your wallet, you can pay for sessions directly from your balance.
How do I cancel or reschedule?
From the booking detail page, use Reschedule or Cancel. Refund and credit rules depend on how far before the session you act — see the Refund Policy linked in the footer for the exact windows.
When do I get a refund?
Refunds are automatic when a coach cancels, no-shows, or ends a session in under 15 minutes. Learner-initiated cancellations more than 24h before the session refund in full; closer to the session a partial credit applies. Disputes go to an admin who reviews and resolves within 7 days.
How do I become a coach?
Open the Coach section from the menu and submit an application. You'll take a short CEFR assessment to confirm your level, upload identity documents for KYC, and set your availability. Once an admin approves your KYC, you can start accepting bookings.
How do I withdraw my earnings?
Earnings land in your wallet's earned bucket after each completed session and clear the hold window. From Coach → Withdrawals you can request a payout (minimum 5,000 DC). Requests enter a 7-day review window before payment, and you'll be emailed when the payout is sent.
How do session recordings work?
Sessions can be recorded for review and quality. Recording only starts after both participants explicitly consent at the session start, and a clear indicator stays visible while it's running. You can decline — it won't affect your ability to take the session.
