Coach Terms

These Coach Terms govern your participation as an independent coach on Dardsh. They sit alongside the main Terms of Service — both apply to you. By submitting a coach application or accepting a booking you accept these terms.
Your status and taxes
Unless your engagement letter says otherwise, coaches on Dardsh are independent professionals rather than employees: you are responsible for your own taxes, business registration where applicable, and any local requirements for teaching online. In-house coaches are onboarded and supervised by the Dardsh team, which agrees their profile, engagement terms and pay; those specifics live in the coach's own engagement letter rather than here.
Identity verification (KYC)
Before you can receive payouts you must verify your identity. Upload a passport, national ID or driving licence from Coach → KYC: the documents are stored in Dardsh's private storage, reviewed by a Dardsh administrator, and used solely to confirm identity for anti-fraud and tax-compliance purposes. An approval lasts 365 days, after which you verify again.
Rates and tiers
You do not set your own rate. The price of a session is calculated by Dardsh from a published formula: the base price for your CEFR-assessed tier in that language, a multiplier if you are a native speaker of it, and that language's coefficient. Tiers are capped by your assessment result and completed-session count, and are re-assessable; your price is recalculated when your assessment, certification or rank changes. Dardsh may agree a specific rate with an individual coach, which then replaces the formula price until it is removed. Price changes apply to future bookings only — already-confirmed sessions keep the price at booking time.
Platform commission
Dardsh charges a tiered platform fee on completed sessions, not a flat one. Your share starts at 75% of the session price and rises to 85% as your lifetime completed-session count grows; Dardsh keeps the remainder. The share that applies to a booking is fixed when the booking is made and is not changed afterwards, so moving up a tier affects future bookings only. Your share is paid out via your wallet. The commission covers hosting, payment processing, trust & safety, scheduling, recordings, and marketing the marketplace.
Availability and attendance
Your published availability is a commitment — learners book against it expecting you'll be there. You can edit availability at any time, but already-confirmed bookings must be honored unless you cancel through the cancellation flow (which triggers refunds and may impact your standing). Repeated no-shows lead to suspension.
Earnings, hold window, and withdrawals
Earnings post to your wallet when a session completes and clear a 72-hour hold (configurable for trust & safety) before they can be withdrawn. You can request a payout once you hold at least 5,000 DC in earned coins, your identity is verified and your email is confirmed — bonus coins can't be withdrawn. Every request is reviewed by an admin and paid no earlier than 7 days after you ask. Payouts go by InstaPay, mobile wallet or bank transfer in Egypt, and by PayPal elsewhere.
Code of conduct
Treat every learner with respect. No harassment, discrimination, or sexually explicit content. Don't share illegal or hateful material. Don't take sessions off-platform after meeting a learner on Dardsh — circumventing payments is grounds for permanent removal. Cooperate with trust & safety investigations.
Your content
You retain ownership of materials you create. You grant Dardsh a non-exclusive license to display your profile, bio, intro video, and session-related content for the purpose of operating the marketplace. We may use de-identified, aggregated data about coaching activity to improve the product.
Taxes
You are responsible for declaring and paying your own taxes on Dardsh earnings under the laws of your jurisdiction. Dardsh does not withhold income tax. We may be required to report aggregate earnings to tax authorities depending on your country of residence and total earnings.
Termination
You can deactivate your coach profile at any time from /coach. Dardsh may suspend or remove coaches for violations of these Terms, the main Terms of Service, applicable law, or for repeated quality/safety incidents. Earnings already due remain payable after termination, subject to the same withdrawal gates.
Changes to these terms
We will post updates here and notify active coaches by email for material changes. Continued listing or accepting new bookings after the change means you accept the updated Coach Terms.
